COAL QUALITY PARAMETERS

● 1. The calorific value of Barinto Coal ranges from 4,000 to 6,500 kilocalories per kilogram. It has a low nitrogen content, and the nitrogen oxide (NOx) level is below 250 ppm, thus reducing air pollution. With a ash content of less than 3.5%, this coal allows power plants to minimize the area required for storing ash, thereby extending the lifespan of ash storage facilities.

● 2. The sulfur content of Barinto Coal is also very low, averaging only 0.15%, which is one-seventh of that of ordinary bituminous coal. Power plants can meet the sulfur oxide (SOx) emission standards by burning Barinto Coal alone (80 ppm) or by mixing it with ordinary bituminous coal (170 ppm). This saves customers the costs associated with the construction and operation of flue gas desulfurization (FGD) facilities, resulting in significant benefits.

● 3. Barinto currently operates 5 mining areas: Bharinto, Kutai, Tanah Bumbu, Kotabaru, and Tapin.

● 4. Coal sampling and analysis are conducted by internationally certified testing institutions. To ensure that the quality and specifications of our coal meet customer requirements, we regularly perform various tests, including composition analysis, moisture testing, total sulfur testing, calorific value testing, and relative density testing. All coal products are guaranteed to comply with international standards.

● 5. The Balikpapan coal terminal is equipped with internationally certified testing facilities, enabling Barinto to maintain stable coal quality and provide customers with accurate analysis results.
